A 3-month collaborative C++ Game Development project, created using SFML as part of a team-based agile workflow at Liverpool John Moores University. The project was developed from a template created by Dr. Chris Carter, with assets provided by the University with permission from Rogue Snail, creators of Relic Hunters.
My primary role on the project was Player Programmer, where I was responsible for implementing and developing Player-focused gameplay systems, alongside setting up the project’s foundational non-engine class structure. The project was developed within a multidisciplinary team environment, with dedicated programming responsibilities across player systems, enemy systems, level systems, and core architecture.
Development followed an agile workflow over the course of 3 months, with weekly Monday meetings focused on sprint planning, task management, progress reviews, and resolving technical challenges collaboratively. This project strengthened my experience in C++, Gameplay programming, teamwork, and structured game development pipelines within a collaborative environment.
